Proposal Management

Overview If a new PI or key investigator is added to the project in an Award Change Request (ACR), the Sign ACR activity will be available on the ACR workspace. New investigators will receive an email notification of ACRs Awaiting Investigator Signature, or they can access the record from the ACRs Not Yet Signed By An Investigator list on the ACRs inbox tab. All newly added investigators, regardless of role, are required to sign using the Sign ACR activity.
Overview After the Export Control Office (ECO) reviews a TCP Amendment, they will send an email notification to request signatures. This procedure contains instructions for IT Managers for approving the TCP Amendment or requesting changes. Navigation Role: PI & Project Team (IT Manager)
Overview After the Export Control Office (ECO) reviews the Technology Control Plan (TCP), they will send an email notification to request signatures. This procedure contains instructions for Signing the TCP. See Technology Control Plans & Licenses for more information about TCPs. Important Information
Overview Beginning with eRPM Release 5.2, Awards will have the ability to be "linked" by relating award records. Type 1 Example: Awards that do not necessarily share the same Sponsor Award Reference Number but for U-M purposes they represent the same work. The classic NIH example for this type is a competing renewal. Years 1-5 will be the first award. Years 6-10 would be funded as a second, independent award. In this case the two awards would be created independently with unique Award ID numbers. Each award will have its own award amounts and allocations.
Overview Beginning with eRPM Release 5.2, Awards will have the ability to be "linked" by relating award records. A Set Restricted Award Relationship activity is available to mark an Award in an "Active" State as a Type 2 Parent, meaning that it is eligible to have a sub-project award created off of it. Once an award is marked as a parent, then children subproject awards can be created from it. This is referred to as "Type 2" linking of awards.
Overview The Office of Contract Administration (OCA) can complete the Log Contract Approval activity when the Award is in the state of "Contract Processing." Navigation Role: Contract Administration > Award workspace > Log Contract Approval activity
Overview The eResearch Proposal Management (eRPM) system is accessed from the ITS eResearch website or from Wolverine Access.  Important
Overview Once the institution (Office of Contract Administration (OCA) or ORSP signing official) has signed the contract, and depending on whether U-M is the first or last institution to sign, ORSP can complete the Log Partially Executed Contract activity or the Log Fully Executed Contract activity. If a partially executed contract is logged, then the Log Fully Executed Contract activity is available to complete upon return of the fully executed agreement.
Overview All submission methods are recorded in eResearch for a proposal that has been submitted to its sponsor. When the Project Team has submitted the proposal, the recording of the submission methods are accomplished using an activity called Log Project Team Submission to Sponsor. ORSP will not be able to begin processing an award unless this activity is completed. Important Information:
Overview The Manage Administrative Personnel activity allows the PI/Project Team and Award Editors (UM Principal Investigators, UM Sponsor PI, plus Post-Award Contacts and any other Administrative Personnel listed in this activity), and Reviewers from the Award's Administrative Home department to update the administrative personnel on an award record. At least one administrator must be listed on the project at all times.
