Proposal Management: Project Award Notice & Project Award Change

Overview

 Important Information

With the implementation of Award Management on August 20, 2018, Project Award Notices (PANs) and Project Award Changes (PACs) are no longer sent. Instead, an email notification is sent when an Award or an Award Modification is activated. This email notification contains similar information to the information contained in the pre-Award Management PANs/PACs. Email notifications are sent to all parties (UM Investigators, Administrative Personnel, Department Contacts) to inform them that the Award is Active.

On the PAF Workspace, View All Award Notices is available to all project personnel with access to an Awarded PAF. View All Award Notices provides a reference to view historical PANs/PACs that were awarded before August 20, 2018.

Step-by-Step Process

Project Award Notice (PAN) and Project Award Change (PAC) notifications were previously generated from the eRPM system and sent via email to investigators and campus administrators, specifically:

  • UM Principal Investigator
  • Sponsor Principal Investigator
  • Participating Investigators with Specified Effort
  • Administrative Contacts
  • Any person (or group e-mail address) listed as the PAN/PAC Notifiers for a unit (department) that was required to review the PAF.
  1. Click View All Award Notices under Manage Data from the PAF workspace.
    Remember: only follow these steps for Awards that were awarded before August 20, 2018.
  2. Click View to open the summary of the latest PAN/PAC.
  3. Click the Uploaded File.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click the PDF icon to open the current PAN/PAC in PDF format.
  6. Click the Notice version number to see a history of all uploaded versions.
  7. Click OK.
