eRAM: Record a New Animal Treatment Report (ATR) Visit

Overview

This document details the process used by ATR Staff with an ATR Veterinary role to pick up an Animal Treatment Report (ATR) in eRAM.

Important Information This activity should only be used when an entire new visit is being recorded. To edit the same visit, use the Update Current ATR Visit activity.

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Select ATR Staff under My Roles.
  2. Locate and click the ID of the applicable ATR. (OR Click My Activities.)
    Note Use the following features to locate ATRs:
    1. Filter - select a value such as Current Building or Current Room from the drop-down list to filter by. If applicable, click Add Filter to create additional filters.
    2. My ATRs - Displays all ATRs assigned to you.
    3. Vet Resident ATRs - Displays all vet resident ATRs.
  3. Click the Record New ATR Visit activity to record an entire new visit.
    Note Click the Update Current ATR Visit activity to edit the same visit.
  4. Enter or update the Report Date and Report By fields.
  5. If applicable, enter or select the Regular Vet Tech.
  6. Enter or select the Clinical Number.
    OR
    Click Assign Next Clinical Number.
    Note A Clinical Number ties ATRs together. If this is the first visit, then leave blank.
  7. Enter, select, or update the Barcode.
    Note If applicable, enter Multiple/Missing Bar Code Note(s).
  8. Enter or select the Current Building/Room.
  9. If applicable, enter Lab Contact Notes - Names, Phone Numbers.
  10. Enter the Rack Number, Slot Number, and Red Acetate Number.
  11. Check the applicable Room Health Status box(es).
  12. Enter Cage Content.
  13. Enter the Number of Healthy Animals.
  14. Enter a Healthy Animals Description.
  15. Enter the Number of Animals with Issue.
  16. Check the applicable Observed Activity Level (Mentation) box(es).
  17. Check the applicable Hydration box.
  18. Check the applicable Body Condition Score (BCS) box.
  19. Check the applicable Observed Clinical Signs box(es).
  20. If applicable, enter an Additional Clinical Signs Description.
  21. Check the applicable Standard(s) of Care Used box(es).
  22. Check the applicable Clinical Condition Score (CCS) box.
  23. Enter an Additional Description for Animals With Issues.
  24. If applicable, enter Veterinary SOAP Notes.
  25. If applicable, check the applicable TREATMENT AND INTERVENTION box(es).
  26. If applicable, enter Treatments Performed Notes.
  27. Check the applicable Acetate box.
  28. If applicable, click Add and upload documents.
  29. Enter a General Recheck Schedule, e.g. Daily, Weekly.
  30. Enter or select the Next Scheduled Recheck Date.
  31. If applicable, enter Paper ATR Clinical Information.
  32. If applicable, enter Related ATR Information.
  33. If applicable, enter Activity Comments.
    Note This field will only display on the Update Current ATR Visit or the Update Initial ATR activities.
  34. Click OK.
    Note The visit is recorded on the ATR Activity History tab on the ATR workspace. Refer to Animal Treatment Record (ATR) Workspace for more information.
