Overview
Almost every API hosted by U-M will require a valid OAuth access token in order to authenticate your app and process your request. Access tokens are issued through the API Directory's OAuth 2.0 authentication flow.
This tutorial will guide you through the process of authenticating your app and obtaining an access token that can be used to issue API calls.
API Directory Support
The iamGroups Application Programming Interface (API) is deprecated. For an API to create and edit MCommunity groups, use the new MCommunity API.
Overview
This document provides information about the MCommunityUidNumber endpoint that is a part of the MCommunity API. In Unix/Linux systems, a uid number serves as a unique identifier for a user account. The MCommunityUidNumber endpoint can be used to reserve uid numbers in a way that avoids overlap with ones assigned by the ITS MCommunity team and others.
