- If you already have a long-term guest sponsored account you would like to use to connect to the TeamDynamix (TDX) Data Warehouse dataset, skip to step 2 and follow the remaining steps. If not, follow these steps to request a new long-term guest sponsored account.
- Collaborate with your department’s sponsorship administrator to request a long-term guest sponsored account. Visit the Sponsorship Request Forms page to find your department’s Sponsorship Administrator(s).
- Fill out and submit a TDX request form, including the information listed below in your request.
- Title: Create MCommunity long-term guest sponsored account
- Description: In accordance with https://documentation.its.umich.edu/node/5146, please create an MCommunity long-term guest sponsored account for programmatic connections to the TeamDynamix data warehouse dataset. Please set up the sponsorship with the following information:
- DeptID for sponsorship: _______
- Sponsor Administrator who will be responsible for renewing or deactivating account after it is created: ______
- First name to use on the account: _______
- Last name to use on the account: ________
- Non-UMICH email address (you will use this address to set the initial password on the account): _________
- Responsible: ITS-IAMProvisioningandAccounts
- Service: ITS-MCommunity Sponsored Account
- Request TDX data warehouse dataset access: Fill out and submit the ITS-TeamDynamix Ticket and Survey Data form to request that the long-term guest sponsored account be granted access to the TDX data warehouse dataset.
- Request TDX application access (required for row-level security): Fill out and submit the ITS-TeamDynamix Access form to request the long-term guest sponsored account be granted access to the required TDX application(s). Additionally:
- You must add the long-term guest sponsored account to one of the “TDX-” MCommunity groups associated with the requested TDX application(s). The TDX data warehouse dataset requires the long-term guest sponsored account to be part of a responsible group within the TDX application to ensure proper data access. The specific group does not matter, as long as it is active within the application.
- (Optional) If you want to prevent the long-term guest sponsored account from being assigned tickets, fill out and submit the ITS-TeamDynamix Support form to set the account’s EMPLOYEE Status = FALSE.
- (Optional) Administrators who want to use the TDX Reporting API without sharing reports with all users in an MCommunity group may request a manually created group. This manually created group will essentially be hidden from general use, and the long-term guest sponsored account within it, used for reporting purposes, will not have tickets assigned to it. Note that these syncs occur daily at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
