Zoom Contacts Overview

Overview

Contacts in Zoom are shared across the applications, such as Phone and Meetings. This chart describes the types of contacts you see in the Zoom application when you click the Contacts tab, including those that are not implemented at U-M.

Type Description
Starred Star functionality not available in U-M Zoom Phone, though it is visible.
External

U-M is not currently using this feature with U-M Zoom Phone.

Cloud Contacts This section header simply expands to show the My Contacts section.
My Contacts

You can sync your Google, Office 365, or Exchange contacts with My Contacts in Zoom. For instructions, please see the How to use Contacts Integration section in Zoom Support's How to set up calendar and contacts integration.

You can also add an individual as a Google contact in My Contacts from Zoom Phone. Click the Phone tab in the Zoom Desktop application, hover over an individual's name in the call History list, click Create Contact-->Create Google Contact. Enter the information and click Create. 

Your personal contacts display in My Contacts. You have the option to manually upload U-M Zoom Phone contacts in the U-M Zoom web portal. For instructions, please see Importing Personal Contacts on the Zoom Support site. 

Zoom Rooms All U-M Zoom Rooms will automatically appear in this list. You cannot modify this section.
Desk Phones U-M is not currently using this feature with U-M Zoom Phone.
Imported Contacts U-M is not currently using this feature with U-M Zoom Phone.
