Important Change: SSL Certificates in MiServer
Due to technical constraints with domain authorization and automated renewals, we will no longer offer SSL certificates for hostnames in the default MiServer domains.
If your MiServer-hosted service requires an SSL certificate, please follow these steps:
- Create a CNAME record in a DNS zone you own or manage.
- Point that CNAME at your MiServer hostname (e.g., your-server.miserver.it.umich.edu | your-server.adsroot.itcs.umich.edu ).
- You may then obtain an SSL certificate for that CNAME.
