U-M Pantheon Autopilot Bookmarklet

ITS strongly recommends that university websites hosted on Pantheon have Autopilot enabled and configured to run at least once per week. For details, see Introduction to Autopilot. Website owners can decide whether to have Autopilot deploy successful changes to the Dev environment (which they can then review and deploy to the Live environment) or directly to the Live environment.

Note: It is important to note that there is currently an issue with enabling Autopilot for a site using the Pantheon Dashboard. Do not select Autopilot from the left navigation bar for your site. You will get an error when enabling Autopilot. The ITS Web Hosting team is actively collaborating with Pantheon to address and resolve this issue. The following steps are a workaround to enable Autopilot for your site.

To start using Pantheon’s Autopilot, follow these steps.

Submit Your Request

Send an Email Request: Email [email protected] to let them know you would like to enable Autopilot for your site and include the following information:

  • Pantheon Site Name
  • The default frequency is weekly, and the default destination is Dev. If you would like something different, include these details in your email.

Autopilot Configuration

Default Configuration: The ITS Web Hosting team enabled your website using default settings.

Configure Autopilot: To configure your site to use Autopilot do the following steps:

  1. Drag this bookmarklet to your browser’s bookmarks bar: Go to Pantheon Autopilot
  2. Navigate to the Pantheon Dashboard.
  3. Locate and select your site from the Pantheon Sites page.
  4. Click on the bookmark to run the bookmarklet.
  5. You will be taken to Autopilot for your site.
  6. Review and update your configuration as needed.
