Accessing the Horizon Admin Console to Manage Desktop Pools

1. Open a browser from the MiDesktop jump server and navigate to https://cs1.midesktop.it.umich.edu/admin. For more information, see MiDesktop Jump Server Access.
2. Log in with credentials in your MiDesktop Active Directory admin group.
3. Some pool configurations can be edited to fit customer and end user needs. These include:
   • Pool display name
   • Active Directory OU
   • Entitle users
   • Schedule an Image Push or Set a Pool with a New Base Image and/or Snapshot
   • View/manage user desktop sessions
   • Change pool networks
   • Add/remove pool restrictions (such as limit to local connections)
   • Note: users under no circumstances should edit the pool size or create/delete pools from the Horizon View admin console. Changes to the pools must be made via the SRS ordering system.
