How to Control Access to a Host Collection in Red Hat Satellite at U-M

1. Request a Red Hat Satellite at U-M Host Collection by filling out the ITS-Request Host Collection form. A new MCommunity group will be created with the name SatUM-HC-[new Host Collection name]. The requestor will be added as a member and owner.
2. Click Members tab to add members.

Notes:

• The requester can add and remove members as needed. The changes will be reflected in Red Hat Satellite at U-M.  
• The requester can grant the owner access to the MCommunity group to allow others to add members as needed.
• The MCommunity group “Satellite Owned Groups” must remain the owner of the MCommunity group in order for internal service processes to work correctly.
