Add an Installation Pre-order Number to an Access Point in NetBox

Overview

This document includes steps to add an Installation Work Order Number to an existing Site Survey Order in NetBox.

Search for Devices Associated With the Site Survey Work Order

  1. Log in to NetBox at https://netbox-wdb.infra.apps.it.umich.edu/.
  2. Click Devices and select Devices.  
  3. On the right side of the screen, scroll down in the Search section to Site survey Pre-order.
  4. Enter the Site Survey Pre-order number and click Apply.

Note: The page will refresh with the list of all the devices associated with the Site Survey work order. 

Assign Specific Devices to the Installation Work Order

  1. Click the boxes to select individual devices or check the Name box to select all the devices. 

  1. Click Edit Selected.
  2. In the Search section, enter the Pre-order number in the Install Pre-order field and click Apply.

Notes: 

  • When complete, “Updated X devices” will be displayed at the top of the NetBox window, where X is the number of devices.
  • Up to 1000 lines will appear on the page.
