Telephone: Using Exchange Voicemail

Overview

This will provide you the necessary tools for setting up an Exchange Voicemail account. If you have elected to have copies of your Exchange mail forwarded to your non-Exchange email account; read the Welcome message in your email inbox.

Getting Started

This message includes:

  1. At the login screen enter your 10-digit phone number and Outlook Web App (OWA) password.
  2. Click Sign In.
  3. Click Mail and select "Welcome to Exchange Unified Messaging".

      • 5-4242 (734-615-4242) Ann Arbor
      • 3-6767 (313-583-6767) Dearborn
      • 4-5353 (810-424-5353) Flint
    • Extension - your 10-digit phone number
    • PIN - used to login via phone

Note: To reset your password, email your 10 digit phone number to [email protected]. ITS recommends you change your password after you sign in for the first time.

Change Your Phone PIN

  1. Sign into the Outlook Web App.
  2. Select Options from the Settings drop-down list in the upper right corner.
  3. Click Phone in the left side menu.
  4. Select Reset PIN under Voicemail.

A temporary PIN will be sent to you. The next time you log in to your voicemail you will be prompted to change it.

Note You must enter your phone PIN it protects you by not allowing anyone else to listen to your messages.

If you are unable to modify your PIN:

  1. Dial the access number and log in to your mailbox.
  2. Say Personal Options or Press 6.
  3. Press 3.
